Whether you’re cheering on a loved one, enjoying the festive atmosphere, or introducing little ones to one of New England’s most iconic events, here’s how to make the most of Marathon Monday in Wellesley.
🏃♀️ Where to Watch in Wellesley
Wellesley marks the halfway point of the 26.2-mile course and is home to some of the loudest and most memorable cheering sections on the route.
Top Viewing Spots:
- Wellesley College “Scream Tunnel” (Mile 13)
The legendary tunnel of sound created by Wellesley College students is not to be missed. It’s one of the most iconic points on the course and an unforgettable experience for runners and spectators alike. - Wellesley Square (Miles 13–14)
Great for families! You’ll find plenty of open space {great for greeting your favorite runner} local shops, and public restrooms. Arrive early to grab a good spot and enjoy the pre-race excitement. - Central Street Bridge
Offers a good vantage point and access to both sides of the race route.
Pro tip: Get there early as crossing the route is difficult, wear layers, and bring snacks, signs, and plenty of water. Parking is limited, so walking or biking to your spot is best.
